Description
The Ascension of Jesus describes the transformation of Christ from earth to heaven following his life,ministry,death and resurrection.The Bible refers to ascension as passive action-Jesus being"taken"into heaven.Jesus ascended into heaven,God and the Father exalted the Lord to the right hand of heaven.What's more,at the ascension of Jesus,he promised his followers that he would soon pour out the Holy Spirit on them and on them.The Ascension Wood Cross depicts Jesus entering heaven under the guidance of angels.The dove symbolizes the spiritual gift and power that the Holy Spirit will give followers of Jesus,the ability to preach about Jesus Christ,and the ability to bring about faith.
